The M8 is one of the most popular cars BMW has ever made. But what makes it so loved across the world?

The primary factor driving the vehicle’s popularity is its performance. The car M8 carried the “M” moniker, which is short for “Motorsports.” Cars carrying the M bad have won numerous races across the world, including the legendary 24 hour race at Le mans.

The 2020 BMW M8 draws on this pedigree. It takes all of the racing knowledge gleaned by the company over the years and adds extra luxuries to make the driving experience even more unique. This is certainly a German performance car you want in your garage.

Exterior

Unsplash – CC0 License

On the exterior, the lines are precisely what you would expect from BMW. The four-door version of the car is functional and attractive. And thanks to its shape, it is just about suitable as a family car.

The headlight design is also attractive. You get full daytime LED headlamps, turn signals and the new design for the daytime halo around the edge of each bulb. BMW also equips the vehicle with adaptive headlights which switch on and off, depending on whether other cars are approaching or not. The lights are also able to pivot, meaning that they steer with your steering wheel, allowing you to look around corners and bends.

Also at the front are massive air intakes for cooling the radiator and the engine. BMW deliberately makes these bigger than they need to be on the majority of its models. However, the M8 actually benefits from the additional airflow from the side fenders as well as the main front grille, and the grille in the center of the front bumper.

The front fascia on the 2020 version of the vehicle extends a couple of inches out in front of the car. This feature gives it a little extra downforce and also prevents the air from lifting the vehicle from underneath. Overall, the sensation you get in the driver’s seat is one of more control.

The vehicle appears low and wide at the front – a change BMW made to appeal more to the North American market. And this makes the car appear more stretched out compared to other BMWs in the range, such as the M2.

The wheels are also impressive. One popular option is BMW’s 20-inch alloys wrapped in the Pilot Sport tires. These low-profile options keep the car close to the ground and provide additional traction and roll resistance as you turn around corners sharply.

Engine

Once you pop the hood though, the real magic happens. Opening it up reveals the M8’s twin turbocharged engine and drivetrain. The engine itself is beautifully displayed and comes with attractive covering panels, again with the M badge.

The 4.4-liter engine generates a massive 600 bhp, offering 553 lb-ft of torque, launching the car from zero to sixty in about 3 seconds. It also comes with an 8-speed steptronic transmission, allowing you to flick through the gears as you climb to high speeds easily.

Because the 2020 M8 uses xDrive technology, the power from the engine goes to all four wheels. This gives the car more traction, especially when accelerating from lower speeds.

There’s also a dual oil pan which monitors oil pressure continuously. So if you take the car for a track day, the vehicle will always provide accurate feedback on oil levels, prompting you when you need to top it up.

Interior

The M8 interior is spectacular, as you might expect. Perhaps the biggest draw is the attractive door panels. If you choose the leather treatment, you can get these in tan with beautiful stitchwork and design. The doors also feature brushed metal speaker covers with multiple metal buttons for choosing your seat position, and locking and unlocking the vehicle.

The speaker itself is also high quality. The car comes with a Bowers-Wilkins setup if you choose the options, providing you with high-quality sound throughout.

On the dashboard, the stitchwork and metallic detailing continues. Stitching runs along the passenger glove box and then around the car’s built-in infotainment system. On the infotainment system, you get Apple CarPlay, but BMW doesn’t support Android options yet.

If you want to do spirited driving, you can set the car to performance mode using options in the touchscreen display. You can also adjust the AC controls for both sides of the cabin.

Wrapping Up

The M8, therefore, is a luxury performance car with virtually no compromises. It’s fast, handles well and provides as much comfort as a luxury executive car.

The Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V have been hogging space in the small SUV market as new small SUVs.  Considered good buys and highly reliable, they are both highly prized as used vehicles. This is a good year to choose a used model because there are few upgrades on the 2021s for either one.

When you step back a few years, what is the difference between the two and which one is better? Let’s take a look.

Model Years

If you go back to 2017, you’ll find the Honda CR-V is basically the same.  There were no major changes in 2018 or 2019 beyond additions to the amenities menu.  In 2020, the company made Honda Sensing standard, and they also changed the exterior a bit.  Even if you choose a new 2021 CR-V, you’ll find that they didn’t need to make major changes again this year.

With the RAV4, you are stepping back a generation to buy a 2017. However, Toyota added its Toyota Safety Sense in 2017, a whole two years before Honda made its standard.  There were few changes in 2018.  In 2019, the RAV4 became a new model with a better engine and better fuel economy.  Some more technologies were added in 2020, but 2021 isn’t very different.

As you can see, the fact that the current models aren’t that different from last year, makes them good choices for buying used. In fact, both used models are big sellers at Earnhardt Auto Centers, headquartered in Phoenix with a large online used car inventory plus dealerships throughout the area and in Las Vegas Nevada.

Which One Do You Want to Drive?

If you want the fastest of these rides,  you’ll head for the Toyota RAV4 that is 2019 or later.  That’s because it has a peppy 203-horsepower engine. Toyota supplies 184 pound-feet of torque which is controlled with an eight-speed automatic. The newer engine earns 26/35 mpg city/highway. The 2017 and 2018 RAV4s will have a 186-horsepower engine. Fuel economy is less efficient at 23/30 mpg city/highway.

The Honda CR-V, dating back to 2017, will either have a 184-horsepower or 190-horsepower engine. If there’s a choice, shoppers should definitely aim for the peppy Honda turbo if sticking with the CR-V. The fuel economy is 28/34 mpg city/highway.   In 2020, the company dropped the lower powered engine.

Which SUV is Bigger?

Honda and Toyota have built their SUVs with a commanding driver’s position.  The backseat is slightly bigger in the CR-V than in the RAV4.  Generally the Honda is considered to have a more refined interior and better storage compartments.

The CR-V has a 39.2-cu.ft. cargo hold, but that drops a few cubes if you spring for the top Touring trim. The RAV4 can claim 38.4 cu.ft.   That means you can fit slightly more behind the second row than you can with the RAV4. If the family travels often, this could make a difference.

Dash Technology

When it comes to usability, drivers may find the RAV4 is a bit easier when it comes to dash technology.  Honda doesn’t have physical controls for some settings, and this makes it difficult to learn.

Both have advanced features, but the RAV4 is more likely to have its most important dash tech on the entry-level model. Generally a shopper should look for the CR-V EX instead of settling for the LX.   If you get a 2017 CR-V EX model, you’ll get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Those weren’t available on a Toyota until several years later. In 2020, the RAV4 LE has standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay while the CR-V EX has these features.

How Safe Are These SUVs?

Both have above average safety ratings, but there are a few caveats.  The RAV4 had one poor crash score which makes it appear slightly less safe than its rival in the 2017 and 2018 model years.  Honda has a problem with its headlights, which never seem to get beyond acceptable. Otherwise, its safety record is slightly better. So, it is a wash between the two when it comes to the basics.

From 2017 onward, the RAV4 has these safety systems (and sometimes more): forward collision warning, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking.  From 2019 onward, the CR-V has those as well as its special road departure system.  Blind spot monitoring can be found, but you will inevitably have to step up to a higher trim on either brand, so be on the lookout for that.

Reliability

Both of these models come from manufacturers with reputations for long-lasting models.  Toyota tends to score better in reliability scores overall, but the RAV4 slips behind the CR-V in overall predicted reliability. According to J.D. Power, the Honda CR-V rates a 3.5 out of 5 which is above average. The Toyota RAV4 rates 3 out of 5, an average score.

Best Trim Levels

For the best budget package, you should aim for the EX for the Honda while the LE is fine for the Toyota. The standard RAV4 will net you more basics than the standard CR-V most of the time.  This can be really important when you are shopping used so pay attention to which trim level is being offered at what price.  If the money is the same, the standard RAV4 is basically a better bargain than the standard CR-V when it comes to amenities.

If you are looking for the nicest CR-V models, you should aim for the EX-L or Touring.  For the nicest RAV, you want the XLE Premium or Limited.  The Toyota offers an Adventure trim that doesn’t have an equivalent in the Honda stable.

In conclusion, when shopping for one of these used models, you will get more for your money if you pay close attention to both the trim level and model year.  You’ll want to look closely at what technologies are offered.  Don’t jump on a deal until you have determined if the package is truly the best you can do for the money.

Who wouldn’t want a brand-new sparkling, just off the forecourt luxury sedan? Most of us would. It’s not that simple though and not always possible for all car buyers, as luxury vehicles are priced too high for the average budget. One way you can still afford a luxury sedan vehicle is by buying a used model.

Another huge stick in the mud for other people is the reputation of luxury sedans not being particularly reliable, especially when bought used. However true this is of many car models, there are still some out there that will stand the test of time. After all, just because the manufacturer spent a lot of money on cutting edge technology and luxury interiors, it does not necessarily mean it will not stay roadworthy and in good working order for a reasonable length of time.

To help you out if you are in the market for a used luxury car, in the following post we have highlighted 5 of the best.

Infiniti G37

One of the great things that you will benefit from immediately from investing in an Infiniti G37 is the low ownership costs. This is due to the fact the vehicle shares many of its key parts with Nissan models. Therefore, reducing the price you may have to pay a mechanic for any work that needs to be done. With the 2008 to 2013 Infiniti G37 models, you get the benefit of specs that meant great fuel economy and a vehicle that was awarded constantly high-reliability scores. In terms of performance, it is powered by a V6 engine and features rear-wheel driving capabilities too.

Hyundai Equus

Hyundai cars have a reputation for lasting a considerable amount of time. which is why if you are looking to invest in a great value luxury sedan, you should consider the Equus. It’s amazing to think that if you aim to get yourself a model that’s around 3 to 5 years old, you could be still driving it for a further 10 years. With the full-size version, you get such luxury features like a navigational system that’s voice-controlled, heated seats wrapped in leather and a massage seat for the driver to sit at. Probably the key thing to note is that it’s powered by a V8 engine capable of 385-horsepower.

Buick Enclave

The Enclave is a masterstroke of genius from Buick. It scored a high-reliability rating from JD Power that put it above average compared to others and the parts are easy to get a hold of. We really like the fact it comes with automatic climate control, bi-xenon headlights and 19-inch wheels to give it a real eye-catching SUV feel.

Honda Acura TL

The Honda Acura TL is considered by many to be one of the most luxurious models ever produced by the company. It is also one of the most cost-efficient and reliable. The repair costs on this beauty are low compared to others in the same class. The V6 engine makes it attractive as it provides 280-horsepower and the automatic climate control, sunroof, leather seats, and vibrant xenon headlights make this one you will not want to miss.

Lincoln MKZ

The Lincoln MKZ, though, is almost in a class of its own with a huge engine, and a combination of affordability and reliability. One of the best places in Lynchburg to find used luxury cars is Berglund Luxury Lynchburg, who happens to specialize in Lincolns, along with BMWs and Mercedes. Having made their name as a new luxury vehicle dealership, they should be one of your first stopping points when looking for a quality used car.

Although the advice offered on many blogs and from other sources for those of you on a tight budget looking to invest in a car will be to buy used, does that mean you can’t buy new if you really want to? Of course, it doesn’t. In the following post, we are going to look at some of the best new cars of 2020 that will suit the budget-conscious.

Chevrolet Spark Hatchback 2020

One of the cheapest new cars available in 2020 now is the Chevrolet Spark. Although it does mean you only get a meager 1.4l inline4 capable of 98 horsepower, this is still a bargain of an automobile. Some of the standard features include the OnStar connectivity suite that can work with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while the small engine still achieves an estimated EPA of around 29 miles to the gallon through the city and 38 on the highway.

Nissan Versa 2020

Although the Nissan Versa used to be one of the cheapest cars on the market, it has gone up in price point in recent years. However, it is with good reason. For one thing, you get the benefit of a meaty 1.6l I4 engine which produces 122-horsepower with 114lb-ft of torque, making it a reasonably powerful car compared to many at the same price point. While it’s true that the car comes as a manual, there are a lot of intriguing special features that come as standard. Including the 7-inch touchscreen display and 3 USB ports, lane-departure warning and automatic emergency braking technology.

Hyundai Accent Sedan 2020

The Accent Sedan is the smallest automobile produced by Hyundai over here, and as such, the price tag is also smaller than other models. Don’t let the low price fool you though, as it still benefits in all three new trims of the car, from a 1.6l I4 that produces a respectable 120-horsepower with 113lb-ft of torque that is routed into the six-speed manual transmission that comes as standard. Also standard with this model is a high-quality 5-inch touchscreen display and USB port, steering wheel controls and powered windows. It also performs well in the fuel efficiency side of things with an estimated EPA of 29 mpg through the city and 39 mpg on highways.

Honda Fit 2019

As the new 2020 Honda Fit is having a redesign, you could find that the 2019 model is available for a very reasonable price. While it looks like a very small car from the exterior, the interior is a lot roomier and more open than you may think. To get the benefit of Android Auto or Apple CarPlay you will need to upgrade, as is the case if you are looking to take advantage of automatic emergency braking and want to be able to open the doors without the use of a key.

Considering how reliable a model it is though, some of the major sacrifices that come with getting the standard model are worth it, as are the extra expenses required for the upgrades.

For the modern car shopper, safety ranks highly on the list of top priorities. With so many injuries and fatalities still caused by driving, this seems like a sensible concern. Thankfully, modern technology has played a big part in making cars safer in recent years. But it still helps to know which brands are doing the best with regards to safety and which still need to make progress.

Of course, there are no guarantees, and you may need to contact a car accident lawyer if you get into any collisions out on the road. However, here are five of the best car brands on the market when it comes to safety.

Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz has always been quick to take advantage of modern technology to improve the safety of its automobiles. Unlike many of its competitors, many of the safety features are issued as standard rather than optional extras which you can pay more money to obtain. Just a few of the best features include forward collision warning with brake assist, adaptive cruise control, and a blind spot monitor.

Audi

Audi has a wide range of cars in its collection ranging from the small to the SUV-size. However, all of them received rankings of 9.3 or above when they were tested in the US. In fact, a third of them received perfect 10 scores. Just some of the futuristic technology on board many Audi cars include rain-sensing wipers and headlights, a drowsiness monitor, and a night vision camera.

Tesla

Tesla is the car brand that enjoys standing out from the crowd and not following the established order of things. Its vehicles look like something out of the space age with a huge touchscreen to control most of the main features. Some of the advanced safety technology which comes as standard when you buy a Tesla includes lane departure warnings and automatic braking. However, higher-end models even include Autopilot and Enhanced Autopilot features, which are a step away from the car being able to drive itself.

Volvo

The Volvo brand has long been associated with an exceptional record when it comes to safety. Vision 2020 is the ambitious target which it announced to ensure no serious injuries or fatalities would occur in any of its vehicles by that year. There are a multitude of safety features on board each and every one of its modern vehicles to put the minds of drivers at ease.

Genesis

Finally, we have a brand which has only been around for a short amount of time. Hyundai’s new luxury cars have put safety right at the heart of their ambitions. Of course, the price tag puts them out of reach for many people, but they are one to watch when it comes to looking after drivers and passengers.

Now that you know some of the safest car brands on the market, you can consider investing in them yourself to give yourself peace of mind when driving.

There are many reasons why you could be looking for a new car. Your current one may have broken down one too many times, or you may have come into some money and wanted to splash out on something new. Whatever your reason, choosing which car to buy can be a difficult one if you don’t already have an idea of what you want. Well, if you’re looking for something stylish, reliable, and adventurous, then I have your answer – A Jeep. Here are six reasons why a Jeep should be your next car.

The Options Are Endless

If you’re someone that enjoys having a lot of choices, then a Jeep is perfect for you. There is a range of models available, such as Wrangler, Cherokee, Compass, and Renegade, and then there are different models of the Wrangler, like the Rubicon. All of these are available in different colours so that you can pick your favourite, and there’s a choice of soft or hardtop. There’s also a wide range of accessories for you to choose from.

You Can Explore

A Jeep isn’t reserved for just a road; You can also take it off-road. This means that you can explore places that you’ve never been before, and wouldn’t have been able to visit in your old car. You will also be able to test out some of the great off-roading tracks out there, regardless of your experience as an off-roader.

Everyday Is An Adventure

In a Jeep, you don’t have to careen over rocks to feel like you’re in some sort of spy movie; Driving anywhere feels amazing. A trip as mundane as visiting the dentist or the supermarket can feel like you’re embarking on some great quest or adventure. Sure, it sounds cheesy, and it definitely is, but it’s also really cool.

Weather Isn’t An Issue

Weather is incredibly unpredictable, and, for some cars, this unpredictability can cause mayhem. For example, your current car may not be able to drive once it’s snowed, which means that you won’t be able to take your kids to school or get to work. Jeeps don’t have this issue, as every part of them, including the jeep tops, is incredibly resilient. A jeep can easily withstand wind, rain, snow, and sun, so your travel will never be disrupted.

They’re Long Lasting

The resilience of a Jeep means that yours can last an incredibly long time. Of course, your Jeep is still going to age, and you’re going to have to replace different parts at some point, but they’ve have been known to last well over 100,000 miles, sometimes even more than 200,000 miles. You just need to take proper care of yours, and it will surely do the same.

Choosing a new car is never easy but, hopefully, this list makes your decision a more straightforward one. Jeeps really are a great model of car, especially for those who love a good adventure, so make sure you consider getting one as your next car.

No driver can deny that BMW cars carry an aura of excitement and style that is hard to replicate elsewhere. The German manufacturer has spent a century producing a simply stunning range of vehicles to a global audience. Since 2013, and especially since the design facelift a couple of years ago, the 3 Series Gran Turismo has been a major player.

While the model isn’t marketed solely at the modern man, it’s appeal to this demographic should not be ignored. Here’s why:

Great For Work

Appearances count for a lot in this world, especially in the realm of business. Any car carrying the iconic BMW emblem is rue to make a good impression. However, the Gran Turismo enjoys a blend of modern luxury and heritage of the 3 Series, which launched back in the 1970s. Employers, colleagues, and clients will be blown away.

A 0-60mph time of just 4.7secs on the 340i (5.9 for 330i) impresses while the Luxury design package creates a stunning look. The cheaper Sport Line design will still make a winning impression, though, so any option you choose is good.

The metallic color options and leather upholstery will take things to an even greater level of style and comfort. When you look the part in business, you’ll feel it too. Moreover, the included gadgets make navigation and communication easy to master too.

Great For Play

Most modern men don’t just want a car that’s suited to the work arena. They also need a practical vehicle that can satisfy the needs of family life and recreational activities. Ample leg room is supported by a 520Lboot, making this a great option.

The simple upholstery features such as cup holders and USB charging docs make a big impact. Meanwhile, in-car DVD players can be fitted or bought separately to keep the kids quiet. Most importantly, though, the car boasts great safety ratings. For a family driver, this is vital.

Once upon a time, the sedan market was dominated by two-door cars. The market has evolved, however, and the 3 Series Gran Turismo is a major player.

Great For Tomorrow As Well As Today

In today’s climate, the options for purchasing or leasing a car are greater than ever. Subsequently, it is possible to acquire a vehicle that is only needed for a relatively short duration. Nonetheless, the smartest road users should realize that a car that can satisfy their needs for several years is always better.

BMW cars are fairly durable and robust, meaning the need for ongoing maintenance isn’t as high as other models. General wear and tear, along with servicing needs, ensure that you will need auto repair work from time to time. Still, the reduced frequency of work plus ease of sourcing parts should make this seem less of a hassle.

Last but not least, the BMW 3 Series will always be in fashion. Moreover, the Gran Turismo edition will always boast a special ingredient. While it may be a slightly more expensive option than some of the other sedans on the market, this is certainly a model that will keep you smiling. What more could any driver ask for?

When you think of Japanese brand Lexus, what springs to mind? For most people, it’s luxury, quality and reliability. They’re known for producing cars that stand the test of time, and in the almost thirty years that they’ve been around they’re sold in more than seventy countries and has become Japan’s largest selling make of premium cars. But what does this mean for you? If you’re in the market for a new car and considering what brand to go with, here are just a few of the reasons it should be a Lexus.

The Price

While many might overlook Lexus as being too expensive, they’re actually very reasonably priced. Admittedly they are a luxury brand and so are priced accord to this, however they tend to be more affordable than other luxury cars on the market. Autotrader listed their CT200h model as being one of ten ‘luxury cars you can afford to buy’ stating the model is the cheapest from the brand but actually one of the best. It’s a hatchback which isn’t usually associated with luxury, however Lexus manages to change all of that. Because Lexus cars are made of quality materials that last, there are lots of older models still out there you can buy, and so purchasing an older vehicle is an option too if you’re on more of a budget. Lexus cars from the nineties are still doing well, and look the part too. Compare this to less affordable nineties cars and the differences are clear. Even with an old Lexus, you certainly won’t look or feel like you’re driving an old banger- their cars have a timeless feel so it will always feel ‘like new’ regardless of the age. For this reason, you can get some very nice older models at good prices. One of the main things most of us look at when we’re purchasing a car is how much it costs, so don’t overlook Lexus as a brand just because you assume it will be too pricey. It’s well worth having a look at what’s out there.

Running Costs and Repairs

As well as the price of the vehicle, another important thing to look at when you’re buying a car is how much it costs to run. And as a bonus, Lexus is known for its fantastic fuel economy. Going back to the CT200h, the fuel economy is so good that Prius actually borrowed the hybrid technology. Regardless of the type of driving you’re doing, this model guarantees at least forty miles per gallon, which you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. Luxury brands have the funds to be able to research and create new fuel efficient technologies, and many- including Lexus- offer excellent fuel economy. Research from Auto Express found that 88.12% of thirty thousand Lexus owners thought that their car running costs were reasonable. Surveys have found that while luxury cars do seem to suffer more breakdowns than some other models, the cost of the repairs and parts themselves are not more expensive. You can make sure you’re avoiding costly repairs by booking a Lexus car maintenance appointment every six months so that potential issues can be spotted early. It keeps your car running in the best condition and generally improves your driving experience.

Design

Second to the price, the next thing most of us look at when we’re choosing a car to buy is the design. Sure, the aesthetics might be more of a shallow thing but we all want to drive a car that we think looks nice. And when it comes to Lexus, you can’t go wrong. They’re always stylish and will make an impact- if you’re looking to impress then this is the brand for you. Take the Lexus LC 500 for example, Forbes described this as ‘Lexus quality in a stylish suit of clothes’. And if you take a look at the car, it’s easy to see why. The RC 350 was described in a review by Wtop as ‘A stylish coupe that can be used year-round’. Whether you go for an entry level model, an SUV or one of the higher end luxury cars, the design is always something to write home about. Even a quick browse on Pinterest will show you just how stunning and eye catching the vehicles in the Lexus range are, and going back to them being timeless they won’t look outdated in a decade down the line.

The Handling

Usually cars that have great gas mileage aren’t as good when it comes to handling, however Lexus manages to do both. The hybrid models especially are known as being some of the most fun to drive on the roads. Lexus cars tend to have very tight and responsive steering, if you want a vehicle that handles exceptionally well then how about going for one of the sport models? Take the F Sport for example, with it’s special suspension fitted and seventeen inch wheels it will give you the ride of your life. It’s fitted with low profile tyres for excellent cornering grip, and even the seating is top notch, featuring a detailed profile and improved fit. Bar the F models, the Lexus GS has traditionally been seen as the most engaging model to drive, it’s rear wheel drive giving it poise and better balance. It’s agile with good body control, and a great choice if you want something that handles incredibly well on the roads.

Lexus is a great all rounder. You get a luxury feel and look with reasonable maintenance and repair costs, and something that offers and incredible drive. Whether you want to make an impact with your ride or you just want to invest in quality and something that will last then it’s the brand for you. Across their various types of cars and SUVs, none stand out as being ‘bad’ and so you have peace of mind that you’ll be happy and satisfied with whatever you pick.

Would you consider purchasing a Lexus for your next vehicle? Which model would you be most likely to go for?

It’s been more than 100 years since Alfa Romeo has been serving the automobile market with their sportier and racing cars. It is quite difficult to pick five among the dozens of vehicle makes introduced by the Italian car manufacturer, but here we try to list top five Alfa Romeos of all time.

We have furnished this list after necessary deliberation since Automoda has dealt with every make of Alfa Romeo. However, the list should not be treated as official or methodical standings of different models. We are listing the top 5 Alfa Romeos—according to us—in a chronological manner.

1) Alfa Romeo 8C 2900

Alfa Romeo 8C was a range of racing and sports cars introduced by the manufactures at the peak of Mille Miglia, an endurance race which continued to take place for almost 30 years.  This 8-clyinder vehicle was designed to compete for high endurance races along with its iconic design.

Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 was among the pioneer coupe cars, introduced in late 1930s. This car was made in limited numbers and only four of them are able to survive till present day.  The one showcased in the Ralph Lauren collection is the embodiment of why this vehicle is considered a classic racing vehicle.

2) Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ

Back in time, Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ was probably the only vehicle that gave Aston Martin coupes a run for their money. Models built in 1964 can be deemed as one of the dynamic and sportier car designs of all time. Since it is a purpose built racing vehicle, therefore optimal performance was also there along with aesthetics. By employing spaceframe chassis and extensive use of aluminium, manufactures were succeeded in significantly reducing the weight of the car.

3) Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale

Introduced by the end of 1960s, design aficionados consider Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale as one of the most beautiful thing that has ever adorned asphalt with its presence. Unlike its predecessor Giulia TZ, it’s a mid-range sports car. Alpha Romeo only made 18 of them. That is why from the time of its launch, it virtually remained unavailable for trade. In present day collector’s auctions, its value can easily surmount the barrier of $10 millions.

4) Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 TT 12

This sports vehicle made 1975 the year of Alfa Romeo by winning seven out of eight races for them. Tipo 33 TT 12 was triumphant among the sports vehicles of Ferrari, Maserati and Porsche. This vehicle will always hold its place in the history of Alfa Romeo because it helped the manufactures to win the 1975 World Sportscar Championship for makes.

5) Alfa Romeo 4C

In 2015, Alfa Romeo made a great comeback in the realm of sports car with their 4C concept. Available in spider and coup makes, the vehicle are adorned with the quintessential Alfa Romeo V-shaped grille.  Alfa Romeo 4C concept has a muscular body but its weight is significantly reduced by the extensive use of carbon fibre and aluminium.
